Job summary

Layton Construction is seeking a Senior Safety Coordinator to actively support project teams in implementing environmental, safety, and health standards at the site level. You will help enforce Layton's safety policies, assist with investigations, and coordinate training to prevent incidents.

The role requires a strong construction safety background, ongoing professional development, and the ability to communicate clearly with diverse teams.

Qualifications

• BA/BS preferred with a minimum of 3 years of experience in construction or industrial health and safety programs.
• Certificate of completion for OSHA 510 – Occupational Safety and Health Standards for the Construction Industry.
• Certification in First Aid, CPR, and AED within the last two years.
• Completed OSHA 30-hour training for construction and Safety Trained Supervisor (STS).
• Strong interpersonal skills and clear verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Champions safety by delivering predictable outcomes for internal teams, external teams, and customers.
• Monitors safety conditions and enforces OSHA and Layton Construction standards and policies.
• Assists the ESH Manager in investigating accidents and collecting data.
• Monitors workers’ compensation issues and reports timely information.
• Provides safety-related training at the site level and participates in safety committee meetings.
