Job summary

Layton Construction is seeking a Senior Safety Coordinator to support project teams in implementing environmental, safety, and health standards at the site level. This role requires a strong foundation in construction safety and a commitment to continuous learning.

You will assist in investigations, supervise safety orientations, coordinate with the ESH Manager, and help ensure compliance with OSHA standards across Layton projects.

Qualifications

• BA/BS preferred with a minimum of 3 years in construction or industrial health and safety programs.
• Certificate in OSHA 510 - Occupational Safety and Health Standards for the Construction Industry.
• Certification in First Aid, CPR, and AED within the last two years.
• Completed OSHA 30-hour training for construction and STS certification.
• Strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills, with good organization.

Responsibilities

• Champions "The Layton Way" by delivering predictable outcomes for internal teams, external teams, and customers.
• Ensures that safety standards and policies are enforced at the site level.
• Assist the ESH Manager in investigating accidents and gathering initial data.
• Monitor workers' compensation issues and report timely information.
• Provide site safety orientations and participate in pre-construction safety meetings.
• Assist case managers with injury management and provide safety training on site.
