Job summary

Layton Construction seeks a Senior Safety Coordinator to actively support project teams in implementing environmental, safety, and health standards at the site level. This role requires a strong foundation in construction safety practices and commitment to continuous learning.

The position involves leading safety programs, conducting orientations, participating in investigations, and ensuring OSHA compliance while working closely with the ESH Manager and field operations.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of construction or industrial health and safety experience.
• OSHA 510 Construction Standards certification required.
• First Aid, CPR, and AED certifications current within the last 2 years.
• Completed OSHA 30-hour training for construction and STS certification.

Responsibilities

• Lead site safety programs and enforce OSHA standards with project teams.
• Assist ESH Manager in incident investigations and data collection.
• Coordinate site safety orientations and pre-construction meetings.
• Provide safety training to employees and subcontractors.
• Support injury management and workers' compensation reporting.
• Monitor safety conditions and liaise with VP-Field Operations and HR.
