Job summary

Layton Construction seeks a Senior Safety Coordinator to support project teams in implementing environmental, safety, and health standards at the site level. The role requires a strong foundation in construction safety and a commitment to ongoing professional development.

The position involves enforcing OSHA standards, assisting in incident investigations, managing workers' compensation data, and delivering safety orientations and training on site.

Qualifications

• BA/BS preferred with minimum 3 years in construction or industrial safety.
• Certified in OSHA 510 and OSHA 30-hour Construction safety.
• STS certification with current First Aid/CPR/AED within last two years.
• Strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.
• Commitment to continuous learning and core ESH competencies.

Responsibilities

• Enforce OSHA and Layton Construction safety standards on sites.
• Assist with accident investigations and data collection.
• Monitor workers' compensation data and reporting.
• Lead site safety orientations and pre-construction safety planning.
• Provide safety training to employees and subcontractors.
• Support ESH Manager and VP-Field Operations on compliance activities.
• Conduct industrial hygiene surveys and respirator fit tests.
• Participate in Safety Committee meetings and related duties.
