Job summary

Layton Construction is seeking a Senior Safety Coordinator to support project teams in implementing environmental, safety, and health standards at the site level. A strong foundation in construction safety and commitment to learning is essential.

Responsibilities include enforcing OSHA standards, conducting safety orientations, assisting in investigations, and coordinating injury management. The role requires collaboration with ESH managers and field operations across multiple projects

Qualifications

• BA/BS in safety or related field.
• OSHA 510 certification required.
• OSHA 30-hour training for construction and STS certification.
• First Aid/CPR/AED certifications within last two years.
• Strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Champions The Layton Way by delivering predictable outcomes for teams and customers.
• Ensures Constructing with Integrity through safety and quality.
• Monitors safety conditions and enforces OSHA and Layton standards.
• Assists ESH Manager in accident investigations and data collection.
• Monitors workers’ compensation and reports timely information.
• Conducts site safety orientations and pre-construction safety reviews.
• Supports injury management and medical care coordination.
• Performs industrial hygiene surveys and respirator fit tests when needed.
• Provides safety training at site level and supports HR/VP meetings.
• Participates in monthly corporate Safety Committee meetings.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
