Job summary

Layton Construction Company is seeking a Senior Safety Coordinator to actively support project teams in implementing environmental, safety, and health standards at the site level. You will champion safety, conduct site orientations, and assist in accident investigations while aligning with Layton's safety culture.

The role requires OSHA certifications, strong communication, and a commitment to continuous learning and professional development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred with at least 3 years of construction/industrial safety experience.
• Practical knowledge and ongoing education in construction safety.
• OSHA 510 certificate for Construction Industry required.
• First Aid, CPR, and AED certification within last two years.
• OSHA 30-hour construction training and STS certification completed.
• Excellent interpersonal, written communication, and organizational skills.
• Able to perform duties safely with or without accommodation.
• Proficient in English communication.

Responsibilities

• Champion safety standards and site safety practices.
• Investigate accidents with data collection and reporting.
• Monitor workers’ compensation issues and report promptly.
• Conduct site safety orientations and pre-construction safety meetings.
• Provide safety training to employees and subcontractors at the site.
• Support ESH Manager and VP-Field Operations on compliance with laws.
