Job summary

Layton Construction seeks a Senior Safety Coordinator to support project teams in implementing environmental, safety, and health standards on site. The role requires strong construction safety knowledge, continuous learning, and the ability to enforce policies across projects.

The position involves coordinating with the ESH Manager, assisting with incident investigations, injury management, and safety orientations, and participating in monthly safety committee meetings.

Qualifications

• BA/BS preferred in a related field.
• OSHA 510 certification required.
• OSHA 30-hour construction training completed.
• STS certification completed.
• First Aid/CPR/AED certification completed within last two years.

Responsibilities

• Champions safety by delivering predictable outcomes for teams and customers.
• Enforces OSHA and Layton Construction safety standards and policies.
• Assists in accident investigations and data collection.
• Monitors workers' compensation issues and reports timely information.
• Provides site-level safety training and orientations.
• Supports injury management and ensures access to medical care.
• Participates in pre-construction safety discussions and meetings.
• Conducts industrial hygiene surveys and respirator fit tests.
