Layton Construction is seeking a Senior Safety Coordinator to support project teams in implementing environmental, safety, and health standards at the site level. This role requires a strong foundation in construction safety practices and a commitment to ongoing professional development.

The Senior Safety Coordinator will monitor safety conditions, assist in investigations, and deliver site safety orientations and training.

Qualifications

• BA/BS preferred with construction/industrial health and safety experience.
• Continued education in construction safety demonstrated.
• OSHA 510 certification required, plus OSHA 30-hour and STS certification.

Responsibilities

• Supports project teams to implement safety, health, and environmental standards on site.
• Investigates accidents and near misses with data collection for analysis.
• Monitors safety conditions and enforces OSHA and company standards.
• Implements site safety orientations and participates in pre-construction meetings.
• Supports injury management and ensures compliant workers’ compensation processes.
• Performs industrial hygiene surveys and conducts respirator fit testing.
• Delivers safety training to employees and subcontractors on site.
• Participates in Safety Committee meetings and supports HR/ESK compliance.
