Job summary

Layton Construction seeks a Senior Safety Coordinator to actively support project teams by enforcing environmental, safety, and health standards at the site level. The role demands a solid foundation in construction safety, ongoing learning, and collaboration with ESH and project teams to uphold safety excellence.

Key duties include investigating incidents, managing workers’ compensation data, conducting site safety orientations, and delivering safety training.

Qualifications

• BA/BS preferred with minimum 3 years in construction/industrial safety.
• OSHA 510 Construction Safety Standards certificate required.
• First Aid/CPR/AED certs within last 2 years.
• OSHA 30-hour Construction Training and STS certification.
• Strong communication and organization skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure OSHA and company safety standards are implemented at site level.
• Assist ESH Manager with accident investigations and data collection.
• Monitor workers’ compensation issues and report timely information.
• Provide site safety orientations and participate in pre-construction meetings.
• Deliver safety training to employees and subcontractors.
• Support with injury management and cost-effective medical care.
• Conduct industrial hygiene surveys and respirator fit tests.
• Maintain compliance with FMLA, ADA, and workers’ comp laws.
