Job summary

Matrix Service is seeking a Senior Construction Engineer, EPC, to provide technical engineering information to supervision and crafts, ensuring construction work complies with all engineering standards, codes and specifications. The role emphasizes safety and core values while coordinating with clients and subcontractors.

The position requires a BS in Engineering (MS preferred) and 8+ years of related experience; PE and PMP are desirable.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering required; MS degree preferred.
• Professional Engineer (PE) preferred.
• 8+ years related engineering experience.
• Strong skill set in understanding PFDs and P&IDs; 3D/2D routing, equipment and piping specifications, and development of isometric drawings.
• Knowledge of API, AWS and ACI standards, industry practices and ASME Section VIII is strongly preferred.
• Ability to understand client specifications, procurement, commissioning and start-up standards, documentation, vendor data approvals, etc.
• Experience using standard computer programs.
• Familiarity with project management software such as MS Project or Primavera is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical engineering information to supervision and crafts to ensure compliance with engineering standards, codes and specifications.
• Interpret designs and drawings for installation by craftsmen.
• Prepare as-built drawings, submittals, RFIs and test/ turnover packages.
• Maintain documentation records including revisions, line/valve lists and progress reports.
• Coordinate with project management, clients and subcontractors on controls, budgets and schedules.
