Job summary

Matrix PDM Engineering seeks a Project Engineer to manage the end-to-end engineering execution for assigned projects or proposals. You will be the primary technical contact with the client, coordinating deliverables to meet contract scope while prioritizing safety during construction and startup.

You will develop and communicate the Engineering Scope of Work and Project Engineering Plan, coordinate with discipline leads, and ensure adherence to schedule, budget, and quality requirements across

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in any engineering discipline from an ABET-accredited university.
• 5+ years of experience leading multiple disciplinary EPC projects (mechanical, structural, electrical, controls).
• Experience with heavy industrial construction and Balance of Plant scopes preferred.
• Ability to understand client specs, procurement, commissioning and startup standards.
• Proven QA/QC procedures and strong organizational, written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Represent the project and coordinate engineering input to support scheduling and planning.
• Coordinate with clients, discipline leads, and management to establish design criteria and ensure work complies with manuals and procedures.
• Monitor scope, budget deviations, change orders, and schedule impacts; communicate changes.
• Lead design coordination meetings to ensure inter-discipline alignment and timely submittals.
• Support documentation control, procurement, and field staff with RFI processes and field collaboration.
• Prepare and participate in project reviews and progress reports.
