Job summary

Matrix PDM Engineering is seeking a Senior Project Engineer I to lead engineering execution on assigned projects, ensuring contract scope and quality are met. The role serves as the primary technical contact with clients and may act as Project Manager on smaller projects.

Responsibilities include coordinating schedules, reviewing design criteria, and ensuring adherence to codes and procedures while supporting procurement and document control. Overtime and travel are required.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited Bachelor of Science in an engineering discipline is required.
• 6+ years leading multiple disciplines (mechanical, structural, electrical, control systems) on EPC projects.
• Experience with engineered fixed equipment for above ground tanks and low-temperature storage systems.
• Ability to understand client specifications, procurement, commissioning and start-up standards.
• Strong management and teamwork abilities; willingness to overtime and travel.

Responsibilities

• Lead overall execution of engineering for assigned projects to meet contract scope and quality.
• Serve as primary technical contact with the client and project manager on smaller projects.
• Coordinate schedule development and monitor submittals across disciplines.
• Ensure adherence to design codes, project criteria, and budget/schedule.
• Review progress and communicate status in project status reports.
• Holds coordination meetings and liaises with procurement and document control.
