Job summary

Matrix Service Co is seeking a Senior Construction Engineer, EPC to provide technical engineering information to supervision and crafts, ensuring construction complies with engineering standards, codes and specifications. The role requires 8+ years of related experience and strong knowledge of PFDs, P&IDs, 3D/2D routing, and isometric drawing development; familiarity with API, AWS, ACI, and ASME VIII.

MS Project or Primavera experience is preferred, with collaboration across teams and adherence

Qualifications

PMP Certification desirable.
8+ years related engineering experience.
Strong understanding of PFDs and P&IDs; 3D and 2D routing, equipment and piping specifications, and development of isometric drawings.
Knowledge of API, AWS and ACI standards, industry practices and ASME Section VIII strongly preferred.
Ability to understand client specifications, procurement, commissioning and start-up standards, documentation, vendor data approvals, etc.
Experience using standard computer programs.
Familiarity with project management software such as MS Project or Primavera is preferred
Cooperates with other team members; interacts with individuals at all organizational levels in professional manner
Demonstrates strong organizational skills and ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously under time sensitive deadlines

Responsibilities

Provide engineering information to supervision and crafts to ensure compliance with engineering standards, codes, and specifications.
Interpret design or drawings for crafts installing material.
Prepare as-built drawings, submittals, and RFIs.
Maintain documentation records such as drawing revisions, line lists, progress reports, and punch lists.
Attend meetings with clients, contractors or A/E representatives; take notes and track action items.
Coordinate with project management, clients and subcontractors on controls-related items, reporting, budgets and cash flow.
Assist Project Manager and Site Superintendents; help with planning and scheduling.
Ensure cost control and estimating standards are implemented on project activities.
Obtain building permits and coordinate inspections and testing services.
Provide oversight to test packages and turnover packages.
Support procurement, commissioning and start-up activities.
