Job summary

Stantec is seeking a talented professional to manage natural resource assessment and permitting projects in Georgia and the Southeast. You will build client relationships, coordinate field surveys (wetland/stream delineations, vegetation inventories, wildlife surveys), and oversee NEPA, permitting, and regulatory submittals.

The role requires strong project management, leadership, and technical writing skills, with travel approximately 25% for field work in potentially remote areas.

Qualifications

• B.S. or M.S. in an environmental discipline (biology, ecology, natural resources)
• 15–20 years of experience with biological surveys and project management in the southeastern United States
• Professional certifications or credentials such as PWS, CWB, CEP, CFP, TN QHP, or PMP are a plus

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and project management across environmental planning, assessment, and permitting projects for diverse sectors.
• Manage all stages of projects from conception to completion including budgets and scheduling.
• Develop and maintain client relationships and seek new business opportunities.
• Coordinate environmental field surveys (wetland/stream delineations, vegetation inventories, wildlife surveys, habitat assessments).
• Review and coordinate documents for regulatory submittals (NEPA, Clean Water Act, Endangered Species Act, state permits).
• Support Health, Safety and Environment policies and coordinate with HSE during all project phases.
