Job summary

Stantec is seeking a seasoned environmental professional to manage natural resource assessment and permitting projects across the Southeast. You will lead teams, coordinate field surveys, prepare regulatory documentation, and build strong client relationships on complex projects.

Responsibilities include project oversight from conception to completion, risk management, and ensuring HSE standards. Travel up to 25% may be required in the Southeast region.

Qualifications

• B.S. or M.S. in an environmental discipline.
• 15–20 years of biological surveys and project management in the southeastern United States.
• Professional certifications such as PWS, CWB, CEP, CFP; PMP and TN QHP are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and project management support on environmental planning, assessment, and permitting projects for clients in power, transportation, oil and gas, government, and community development sectors.
• Manage all stages of a project from conception to completion including cost estimates/proposals, budgeting, and scheduling; coordinate with clients, stakeholders, and internal staff.
• Develop and maintain positive client relationships, including seeking opportunities for new business.
• Coordinate environmental field surveys including wetlands, hydrology, vegetation inventories, wildlife surveys, and habitat assessments.
• Coordinate and review documents supporting regulatory submittals (NEPA, CWA 404/401/408, Endangered Species Act, state-level permitting).
• Support Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) policy implementation and training.
