Job summary

Stantec is seeking an environmental professional to lead natural resource assessment and permitting projects in the Southeast, focusing on client relationships and opportunity development.

You will coordinate wetland/stream delineations, habitat assessments, NEPA and regulatory submittals, and mentoring of team members while supporting project delivery across transportation, energy, and government sectors.

Travel ~25% and field work in varied environments are expected.

Qualifications

• B.S. or M.S. in an environmental discipline.
• 15–20 years of biological surveys and project management in the Southeast.
• Professional Wetland Scientist (PWS) or related certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and PM support on environmental planning and permitting projects.
• Manage projects from conception to completion including budgets and scheduling.
• Develop and maintain positive client relationships.
• Coordinate wetland/stream delineations and habitat assessments.
• Oversee regulatory submittals under NEPA, CWA, and ESA.
• Mentor and train team members; ensure technical oversight.
• Travel to field sites up to 25% of the time.
