Job summary

Stantec is seeking an experienced environmental professional to manage natural resource assessment and permitting projects, build client relationships, and develop opportunities in the Southeast. Projects may include wetland delineations, NEPA documentation, habitat restoration, and permitting for diverse clients.

The role requires leadership, field survey experience, and coordination with regulators; travel up to 25% may be necessary.

Qualifications

• B.S. or M.S. in an environmental discipline.
• 15–20 years of experience with biological surveys and project management in the southeastern United States.
• Professional Wetland Scientists (PWS), Certified Wildlife Biologist (CWB), Certified Ecologist, Certified Environmental Professional (CEP), or Certified Fisheries Professional (CFP). TN QHP or PMP is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and project management support on environmental planning, assessment, and permitting projects for the power, transportation, oil and gas, government, and community development sectors.
• Manage all stages of a project from conception to completion including cost estimates, budgeting, and scheduling; coordinate with clients, stakeholders, and internal staff.
• Develop and maintain positive client relationships, including seeking opportunities for new business.
• Coordinate environmental field surveys including wetland and water delineations, vegetation inventories, wildlife surveys and habitat assessments.
