Job summary

Stantec is seeking a talented environmental professional to manage natural resource assessment and permitting projects, building client relationships and developing opportunities to join our team. Our Environmental Services group delivers NEPA, wetland delineations, habitat assessments, and regulatory permitting across the Southeast.

The role emphasizes leadership, project management, and field surveys, with travel up to 25% for site work and regulatory coordination with agencies such as USACE

Qualifications

• Strong technical writing and quality reviewing skills.
• Experience with natural resource field surveys including wetlands, streams, habitats and species assessments.
• Experience coordinating with regulatory agencies (FERC, USACE, USFWS, DOT).

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and project management on environmental planning, assessment, and permitting projects.
• Manage all stages of projects from conception to completion, including budgets and scheduling.
• Develop and maintain client relationships and seek new business opportunities.
• Coordinate environmental field surveys (wetland/stream delineations, vegetation inventories, wildlife surveys).
• Coordinate and review regulatory submittals (NEPA, Clean Water Act, Endangered Species Act).
• Support HSE policy implementation and training, and mentor team members.
• Ensure oversight and integration of work across teams and centers.
