Job summary

Stantec is seeking a mid-level Environmental Scientist/Ecologist to lead environmental field surveys, reporting, and permitting support across the southeastern United States. The role involves travel and field days, coordinating with biologists, ecologists, and regulators to ensure NEPA, ESA, and CWA compliance.

You will contribute to wetland delineations, habitat assessments, and reporting while collaborating with regulatory experts and project teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an environmental discipline with regionally relevant field experience.
• Experience leading field inventories and surveys (5–10 years).
• Knowledge of WOUS delineations, NEPA, ESA, and CWA compliance is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead environmental field surveys, reporting, and permitting support for diverse clients.
• Coordinate agency communications and guide project teams to successful execution.
• Prepare reports, tables, spreadsheets, and maps for client/regulatory review.
