Job summary

Stantec in Alpharetta, GA seeks an experienced environmental professional to manage natural resource assessment and permitting projects, build client relationships, and lead opportunity development within a multidisciplinary team. You will oversee wetland/stream delineations, NEPA/FERC documentation, habitat restoration, and regulatory permitting across the southeast.

The role requires 15–20 years in the southeastern US, PWS/CWB/CEP/CFP or PMP is a plus, and willingness to travel up to 25%

Qualifications

• B.S. or M.S. in an environmental discipline (biology, ecology, natural resources, soil science or related field).
• 15–20 years of experience in biological surveys and project management in the southeastern United States.
• Professional Wetland Scientists (PWS), Certified Wildlife Biologist (CWB), Certified Ecologist, Certified Environmental Professional (CEP), or Certified Fisheries Professional (CFP). TN QHP or PMP is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and project management support on environmental planning, assessment, and permitting projects for clients in power, transportation, oil and gas, government, and community development sectors.
• Project management includes cost estimates/proposals, financial tracking, budgeting, and coordinating with clients and staff.
• Develop and maintain positive client relationships and seek new business opportunities.
• Coordinate environmental field surveys including wetland/stream delineations, vegetation inventories/monitoring, wildlife surveys, and habitat assessments.
• Coordinate and review documents supporting regulatory submittals (NEPA, CWA 404/401/408, Endangered Species Act, state permits in GA and SE).
• Support Health, Safety and Environment policies and coordinate with HSE professionals.
• Complete required health & safety training, including OSHA as necessary.
• Coordinate, mentor and train team members; ensure technical oversight on projects.
• Provide technical leadership and build networks within the team and Stantec Business Centers.
