Job summary

Stantec is seeking a qualified, self-motivated Senior Environmental Scientist to lead biological field surveys, report preparation, environmental regulatory and project permitting efforts across AR, OK, LA, MO and the Southeast. Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Natural Resources, Planning, Environmental Science, Biology, or related discipline required.
• Minimum 5–10 years of experience in environmental planning, assessment, and permitting.
• Strong knowledge of NEPA requirements and related environmental regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assist NEPA planning and oversee project aspects including client contact, budget, invoicing, schedule, and subcontractors.
• Manage field teams during wetland delineation and species surveys.
• Coordinate regulatory agencies and local governments.
• Manage technical studies and ecological resource teams.
• Prepare NEPA documents including EISs, EAs, and CEs.
• Provide QA/QC for final products to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Assist with current client relationships and development of new ones.
• Maintain professional external profile through participation in organizations.
• Follow HSSE policies and guidance in all work.
• Provide technical direction and mentorship to staff.
