Job summary

Arcadis seeks a Senior Environmental Due Diligence Professional to lead Phase I ESAs and related EDD projects across the U.S. This role supports regional, national, and international engagements within Arcadis’ Resilience Environment team.

You will evaluate opportunities, draft scopes of work, prepare proposals, and supervise deliverables while coordinating with clients, junior staff, and senior experts. Travel up to 25% is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelors in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, or related field.
• 7–10 years of experience performing Phase I ESAs with project and portfolio management.
• Knowledge of CERCLA, SARA, Brownfields, RCRA, CAA, CWA, EPCRA, SPCC, and state/local storage tank regs.
• Strong technical writing skills and ability to conduct/lead Phase I ESAs.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate Phase I ESA projects and portfolios.
• Prepare and review high-quality Phase I ESA deliverables and client communications.
• Coordinate site visits, interviews, and data gathering; travel up to 25%.
• Mentor junior staff and support EDD Community of Practice activities.
• Develop scopes of work, proposals, and reviews with clients and Arcadis teams.
• Review complex regulatory permits and assess compliance status of facilities.
