Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a Senior Environmental Due Diligence (EDD) Professional to support Phase I ESAs and related EDD projects across the continental US. You will work within Arcadis’ Resilience Environment team, coordinating with the EDD CoP and senior technical staff to deliver high-quality environmental assessments and proposals.

The role requires leading complex Phase I ESAs, mentoring junior staff, and traveling up to 25%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a closely related field.
• 7–10 years' experience conducting Phase I ESAs, including project and portfolio management and team development.
• Knowledge of federal, state and local environmental regulations (CERCLA, SARA, RCRA, CAA, CWA, EPCRA, SPCC, storage tank regs).
• Strong technical writing skills.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate opportunities, develop scope of work, and prepare proposals for EDD projects.
• Oversee the preparation of high-quality ESAs, reports, and deliverables.
• Coordinate and conduct review of project documents with clients, contractors, and team members.
• Write and provide senior review of Phase I ESAs as an Environmental Professional.
• Mentor junior colleagues supporting Phase I ESAs.
• Manage Phase I ESA projects and portfolio work and support Phase II planning.
• Review regulatory permits and assess environmental/compliance status of facilities.
