Job summary

Chainguard is seeking a Sales Engineer to assess customer technical requirements and showcase how Chainguard products meet unmet needs. You will build relationships with decision-makers, secure technical wins, and collaborate with engineering on requested features while participating in industry events when applicable.

In this role, you will partner with the Sales team to evaluate value, target new logos, and grow existing customers.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Sales Engineer/Pre-Sales Engineer.
• Familiarity with MEDDPICC and/or Command of the Message frameworks.
• Experience selling into Enterprise (5+ years) and Mid Market prospects.
• Knowledge of container technologies (Kubernetes, Serverless, Docker), cloud tech (AWS/Azure/Google), and security.
• Startup experience and ability to mentor peers.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Sales to evaluate and prove value of Chainguard.
• Acquire new customer logos and grow existing base.
• Own technical aspects of opportunities and articulate Chainguard value.
• Demonstrate products, run POVs/POCs, and engage in webinars and conferences.
