Job summary

Cloudflare is seeking a Customer Engineer in the United States to drive the technical go-to-market strategy with enterprise clients. You will bridge technical strategy and business value, guiding customers from pre-sales validation through onboarding, deployment architecture, and full lifecycle expansion.

You will act as a trusted advisor, own the adoption and expansion, and leverage AI-augmented workflows to reduce manual toil while delivering measurable business outcomes across the customer

Qualifications

• Experience in a customer-facing technical role with SaaS or enterprise software.
• Ability to white-board, design, and articulate complex enterprise network and security architectures.
• Strong ability to translate technical concepts into business outcomes for engineers and executives.
• Proven track record in quota-carrying or revenue-aligned roles in SaaS or enterprise sales cycles.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Broad technical breadth across internet fundamentals, security, performance, AI, and developer platforms.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical deep-dive discovery with Account Executives and map customer requirements to Cloudflare architectures.
• Design migration/onboarding blueprints and guide customers through best-practice configurations.
• Own discovery, demos, onboarding, health, risk, and expansion strategy with customers.
• Carry a variable quota tied to new business and ongoing account growth; conduct QBRs with executives.
• Act as trusted advisor on architecture, AI control layers, security posture, and deployment confidence.
• Leverage AI agents and workflow automation to automate routine CE tasks and free time for advisory.
