Job summary

Cloudflare is seeking a Customer Engineer in Houston to lead the technical go-to-market strategy for enterprise clients. You will bridge architectural design with business value, guiding customers from pre-sales validation through onboarding and expansion, operating as a quota-carrying technologist.

You will work with cross-functional teams, own deployment strategies, and drive measurable outcomes while leveraging AI-augmented workflows to reduce administrative toil.

Qualifications

• Experience in a customer-facing technical role, such as Solutions Engineering or Sales Engineering.
• Ability to white-board, design, and articulate complex enterprise network and security architectures clearly.
• Consultative and advisory skills to translate technical concepts into business outcomes for executives.
• Commercial mindset with experience in quota-carrying or revenue-aligned environments.
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management bridging deep tech and business strategy.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical deep-dive discovery with Account Executives and map customer infra to Cloudflare architectures.
• Prepare PoCs, technical validation plans, and tailored architectural demonstrations for customers.
• Oversee customer onboarding and migration blueprints while guiding engineering teams through best practices.
• Own discovery, demos, onboarding, health, risk, and expansion alongside Account Executives.
• Drive quarterly business reviews translating platform capabilities into business value for executives.
• Leverage AI workflows to automate routine tasks and free time for strategic advisory.
