Deckers Brands, a leading shoes and lifestyle brand, seeks a Principal Enterprise Architect to design DTC and AI platforms. You will drive a cohesive, scalable, and secure architecture across brands and regions in a remote US setting.

You’ll mentor architects and engineers, enforce governance, and champion MACH, API-first patterns, and responsible-AI practices, aligning technology with business goals and customer experience.

Formación

• 8+ years of experience in enterprise or solution architecture within retail, fashion, or consumer goods.
• 3+ years of experience architecting AI and machine learning solutions, including generative AI and LLMs.
• Proven track record implementing MACH/composable commerce architecture with microservices and API integration.
• Experience with cloud-native environments and iPaaS platforms such as Boomi.
• Experience managing large-scale transformation projects including commerce modernization and AI adoption.
• Experience supporting global products with regional strategies and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Experience evaluating AI/commerce vendors for capability fit, TCO, lock-in, and risks.
• Familiarity with the retail or fashion industry and understanding the consumer journey.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and articulate an enterprise-wide architectural vision for DTC commerce and AI, aligning with business goals.
• Define and enforce architecture governance policies and standards across brands and regions, including AI review for use-cases and production readiness.
• Create a multiyear DTC/AI architecture roadmap with milestones, dependencies, risks, and ownership.
• Own the target architecture for the DTC landscape across ecommerce, OMS, inventory, payments, CDP, loyalty, CMS, search and personalization.
• Champion MACH principles to enable a flexible, composable commerce architecture.
• Drive modernization of legacy systems to cloud-based, API-driven architectures.
• Define the enterprise AI reference architecture and shared platform including model access, orchestration, guardrails, and observability.
• Establish responsible-AI controls including bias evaluation, privacy, data residency, and regulatory compliance.
• Define API-first and event-driven integration patterns across platforms and partners.
• Oversee data architecture and governance for DTC and AI, ensuring trust and security.
• Collaborate with leadership to prioritize initiatives delivering strategic impact.
• Lead and mentor architects, engineers, and AI practitioners, fostering innovation and excellence.
• Define and track KPIs for DTC architecture and AI initiatives.
