Job summary

Deckers Brands is seeking a Principal Enterprise Architect to shape the DTC and AI architecture across brands and regions. You will design a composable, API-first platform, establish governance, and drive modernization while managing risk and enabling innovation.

You will lead a team of architects and engineers, collaborate with executives, and define metrics to measure success, with a remote work setup within approved US states.

Qualifications

• Architect and govern enterprise DTC and AI architectures.
• Define architecture governance policies and an AI review process.
• Develop a multiyear DTC and AI roadmap with milestones and risks.
• Own target DTC architecture across ecommerce, inventory, payments, data platforms.
• Champion MACH principles and modern, API-first design.
• Lead modernization of legacy systems to cloud-based, API-driven stacks.
• Establish enterprise AI reference architecture and guardrails.
• Define patterns for API-first and event-driven integration.
• Oversee data governance for DTC and AI initiatives.
• Collaborate with executives to prioritize strategic architectural work.
• Mentor architects, engineers, and AI practitioners.
• Track KPIs and monitor emerging tech trends.

Responsibilities

• Develop and articulate an enterprise-wide architectural vision for DTC and AI.
• Define governance policies and standards across brands and regions.
• Create a multiyear roadmap with milestones, risks and ownership.
• Own the target DTC architecture for cross-platform data flow.
• Champion MACH and modern integration patterns.
• Drive modernization of legacy commerce and integration systems.
• Define the enterprise AI platform, including MLOps and guardrails.
• Establish responsible-AI controls and privacy compliance.
• Collaborate with executives to prioritize strategic initiatives.
• Lead and mentor architecture teams and practitioners.
• Define and track KPIs for architecture initiatives.
