Job summary

Deckers Brands is seeking a Principal Enterprise Architect, AI and DTC Technology, to shape architecture powering Deckers’ consumer-facing platforms and build a shared AI platform. You will balance enterprise standards with innovation, leading governance, data architecture, and cross-brand collaboration.

You will guide AI and DTC modernization, establish risk controls, and mentor senior architects and engineers, driving measurable business impact across regions and brands.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in enterprise or solution architecture within retail, fashion, or consumer goods.
• 3+ years hands-on experience architecting AI/ML solutions, incl. generative AI in production.
• Proven MACH/composable commerce experience with microservices and API integration.
• Experience in multi-cloud environments (AWS required).
• Strong ability to translate business goals into enterprise architecture strategy.

Responsibilities

• Develop enterprise-wide architectural vision for DTC commerce and AI that aligns with business goals.
• Define and enforce governance standards across brands/regions, including AI review for risk and production readiness.
• Create multiyear DTC/AI architecture roadmap with milestones, dependencies, risks, ownership.
• Own target DTC architecture ensuring cross-platform data flow across ecommerce, payments, CDP, loyalty, etc.
• Define API-first and event-driven integration patterns across platforms and partners.
• Lead data architecture and governance for DTC and AI, ensuring data security and compliance.
• Mentor architects, engineers, and AI practitioners; foster collaborative culture of innovation.
