Job summary

Rocket Software is seeking a Senior Account Executive to drive revenue growth selling the Vertica analytics platform with remote options in the United States. You will own territory strategy, pipeline development, and end-to-end enterprise sales cycles while engaging senior stakeholders.

Collaborating with Pre-Sales, Marketing, Product, and Customer Success, you will position Vertica against competitors and ensure customer value through data modernization and AI-driven initiatives.

Qualifications

• 5–8+ years in enterprise software sales with quota attainment.
• Experience closing multi-stakeholder enterprise deals.
• Proven ability to position software in competitive environments.

Responsibilities

• Own and deliver revenue targets for assigned territory or accounts.
• Develop territory and account strategies to drive pipeline and growth.
• Lead end-to-end enterprise sales cycles from shaping to close.
• Build relationships with C-suite and senior data leaders.
• Collaborate with Pre-Sales to run technical evaluations and POCs.
• Position Vertica against Snowflake, Databricks, Redshift, BigQuery, etc.
• Coordinate with Marketing, Product, and Customer Success.
• Develop partner and channel relationships to accelerate deals.
• Maintain accurate pipeline and forecast in Salesforce.
