Job summary

Collins Aerospace's Interiors Premium Seating team seeks an Engineering Program Lead who will drive large-scale product development, overseeing planning, budgeting, and execution with engineers, program managers and suppliers to meet milestones and quality goals.

The role emphasizes leadership of strategic initiatives, risk management and cost optimization, with travel up to 20%. You will mentor engineers and contribute to cutting-edge seating solutions for a global customer base.

Qualifications

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree and minimum 7 years of experience.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Minimum five years of project lead experience.
  • Experience with scheduling and managing a budget.
  • Previous design experience and customer-facing exposure.

Responsibilities

  • Lead planning, organization, and coordination of engineering activities to uphold customer satisfaction and deliver project milestones.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets, managing multiple projects concurrently.
  • Represent Collins as the primary point of contact for customers and foster strong relationships.
  • Identify challenges, devise solutions, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure success.
  • Pursue cost-saving opportunities to enhance profitability while maintaining quality.
  • Oversee all project phases with technical oversight on premium cabin seating products.
