Job summary

Collins Aerospace is a leader in technologically advanced aerospace and defense solutions. This role supports the Project Chief Engineer by coordinating cross-discipline activities and driving execution for propulsion components and subsystems.

You will lead day-to-day project controls, develop plans with schedules and cost estimates, and coordinate with engineering teams to ensure alignment with program goals and certifications where applicable.

Qualifications

• Experience leading aerospace product development projects (SRRs, PDRs, CDRs, TRRs).
• Strong background in physics, dynamics and statics.
• Ability to break down work into functional teams.
• Experience presenting designs to internal and external customers.
• Degree in STEM; advanced degree preferred with relevant experience.
• U.S. citizenship is required for access to program information.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate cross-discipline engineering activities at the project level.
• Ensure integration of mechanical, electrical, software and systems teams.
• Develop detailed project plans, breakdowns, schedules and cost estimates.
• Lead project controls, track progress to plan and report status.
• Prepare technical inputs to proposals, statements and estimates.
• Define scope, assumptions and constraints aligned with program goals.
• Translate design concepts into executable engineering tasks.
• Coordinate integration and test activities for verification and qualification.
• Monitor risks, issues and dependencies and drive resolutions.
