Job summary

Collins Aerospace is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to lead interior programs focusing on monuments and cabin structures. You will drive end-to-end development, coordinate with engineering, supply chain, and program management, and ensure on-time delivery of certifiable aerospace products.

The role requires 5+ years in relevant engineering programs or an advanced degree with 3+ years, plus strong knowledge of interiors, materials, manufacturing, and certification considerations.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience
• Proven experience leading engineering or development programs
• Strong understanding of aircraft interiors monuments, materials, manufacturing processes, and certification considerations
• Familiarity with program execution tools such as schedules, risk registers, and requirements management systems
• Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end development programs for aircraft interior components, from concept through certification and delivery
• Manage project scope, schedule, risks, and deliverables while ensuring compliance with engineering standards and regulatory requirements
• Coordinate closely with internal engineering teams, supply chain, manufacturing, and program management to drive technical alignment and on-time execution
• Serve as the technical point of contact for customer interactions, design reviews, and engineering decisions
• Support or lead work transfer activities, including planning, technical documentation readiness, coordination with receiving sites, and ensuring seamless knowledge and responsibility transitions
• Oversee integration of aircraft interiors monuments such as galleys, lavatories, partitions, and other cabin furnishing structures
• Drive continuous improvement across engineering processes, design standards, and development methods
