Job summary

Collins Aerospace in Winston-Salem, North Carolina seeks a Senior Principal Electrical Engineer to lead the development and sustainment of seating controls, power supplies, seat actuators, and related peripherals for business and first-class cabins.

You will guide LRUs through all design phases, design CCAs, oversee PCB layout, work with lab equipment for integration testing, and mentor engineers while supporting qualification and field issue resolution.

Qualifications

• Degree in STEM and 10+ years of experience or an advanced degree with 7+ years.
• Hands-on troubleshooting experience.
• Experience with serial communications CAN Bus, RS-485, Ethernet.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to lead root-cause analysis and corrective actions.

Responsibilities

• Lead LRU Development through all phases of design cycle.
• Design and analyze Circuit Card Assemblies (CCA) for seating actuation and peripheral cabin functions.
• Work with lab equipment for integration testing of hardware designs.
• Schematic capture of complex digital, analog, and mixed signal electrical circuit designs.
• Oversight of Printed Circuit Board (PCB) layout.
