Job summary

Cribl is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to lead a remote-first, cross-functional team of SDETs responsible for the quality and reliability of all Cribl products. This hands-on leadership role focuses on building quality into the SDLC, driving test strategy from design to release with agentic workflows, and delivering high‑quality products to customers.

You will own quality strategy, improve test automation and CI stability, and partner with product and engineering leaders to ensure

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience establishing testing strategy and quality metrics for SaaS and customer-managed environments.
• Deep understanding of the SDLC and agentic development.
• Strong knowledge of test architecture, automation, CI/CD, release management, and root-cause analysis.
• Experience with AI-developed tests and workflows.
• 10+ years in industry with 4+ years in technical leadership.

Responsibilities

• Own the quality strategy across Cribl products and communicate data-driven metrics.
• Lead continuous improvement in test automation, CI stability, defect prevention, root‑cause analysis, and escape‑rate reduction.
• Continuously optimize end to end pipelines for both quality and velocity, removing bottlenecks for people and agentic workflows.
• Foster a "customer first" mindset by continuously running failure analysis to close the testing gap with customer deployments.
• Establish a strong partnership with product management and engineering managers to ensure quality standards are implemented from the start.
• Coach, mentor, and grow a remote‑first team of exceptional test engineers focusing on agentic workflows.
