Circle seeks a Senior Engineering Manager to lead theRisk & Compliance Engineering team. You will steer the centralized customer onboarding and lifecycle platform, ensuring scalable, secure, and compliant product activation across Circle’s offerings.

You will guide architecture, mentor senior and staff engineers, and collaborate with Product, Risk, Compliance, Fraud, and Engineering to elevate operational excellence. This role supports a remote-friendly, international workforce.

Qualifikationen

• 10+ years of relevant software engineering experience, including 3+ years of people management experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong technical background designing scalable distributed systems, APIs, and complex backend platforms.
• Demonstrated ability to provide technical guidance, coach, and mentor senior and staff-level engineers while supporting their professional growth.
• Experience making architectural decisions and delivering secure, reliable systems with high standards for engineering and operational excellence.
• Strong people leadership, execution, and cross-functional collaboration skills, including hiring, performance management, and delivery ownership.

• Lead the engineering team responsible for Circle's centralized onboarding and lifecycle platform.
• Design scalable automation and APIs for onboarding across Circle's products.
• Evolve a unified customer lifecycle platform handling product changes and onboarding needs over time.
• Develop partner-facing SDKs and integrations enabling seamless onboarding.
• Collaborate with Product, Risk, Compliance, Fraud, and Engineering to support reviews and risk management.
• Drive reliability, security, and operating excellence while mentoring senior engineers.
