Circle is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to lead the Risk and Compliance Engineering team responsible for building Circle's centralized onboarding and lifecycle platform. You will guide architecture, drive compliance automation, and scale the engineering org across risk, regulatory, and product domains.

You will coach senior and staff engineers, collaborate with Product, Risk, Compliance, Fraud, and Engineering, and own the end-to-end customer journey from engagement to lifecycle changes

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong technical background designing scalable distributed systems and APIs.
• Experience guiding senior and staff engineers and mentoring
• Proven ability to make architectural decisions for secure, reliable systems.
• Excellent people leadership, execution, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Aufgaben

• Lead the engineering team responsible for Circle's centralized customer onboarding and lifecycle platform, establishing foundational risk and compliance capabilities.
• Build scalable onboarding automation supporting customers from initial engagement through activation across Circle's products.
• Design and evolve a unified customer lifecycle platform managing changes in relationships and onboarding requirements.
• Guide the development of partner-facing APIs and SDKs enabling onboarding within third‑party apps.
• Develop onboarding capabilities that address eligibility, verification, and jurisdiction-specific compliance.
• Develop internal tools and collaborate with Product, Risk, Compliance, Fraud, and Engineering teams to support reviews and lifecycle changes.
• Drive architectural decisions, reliability, security, and operational excellence while coaching senior and staff engineers.
