Job summary

CVS Health is seeking an experienced Senior Manager - Software Development Engineering to lead the Specialty Pharmacy technology portfolio. You will guide multiple engineering teams across geographies, drive modernization roadmaps, and partner with Strategy, Operations and Product to deliver multi-year technology plans.

You will oversee design, development, testing and delivery while fostering industry-leading tech assets. Remote travel up to 10% within the US is anticipated as needed.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software development experience with Agile methodologies.
• 5+ years building microservices using Python and Java (Spring Boot).
• 3+ years leading distributed, remote software teams.
• 3+ years in containerization with Kubernetes and Docker.
• 2+ years on cloud platforms, Google Cloud preferred.
• 1+ year using Generative AI/web services.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of Specialty Pharmacy technology assets.
• Improve engineering practices, efficiency, time to market and quality.
• Guide and mentor engineering teams across geographies.
• Manage hiring, performance, and career growth with clear goals.
• Collaborate with business, product and tech partners on roadmaps.
• Coordinate onshore/offshore staffing and vendor relationships.
• Drive long-term tech strategy aligned with healthcare trends.
• Travel up to 10% within the United States as needed.
