Job summary

CVS Health is hiring a Senior Manager - Software Development Engineering to lead the Specialty Pharmacy Engineering team in delivering modern software assets and a multi-year technology strategy. You will oversee diverse engineering groups across geographies, focusing on operational efficiency and value-stream improvements.

You will mentor teams, drive agile practices, and partner with business, product and vendor teams to execute on strategic roadmaps while enabling growth and ensuring

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software development experience with Agile.
• 5+ years building microservices using Python and Java/Spring Boot.
• 3+ years leading distributed multi-site/remote software teams.
• 3+ years containerization with Kubernetes and Docker.
• 2+ years on cloud platforms (GCP preferred).
• 1+ years using AI frameworks and generative AI tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, foundational framework and development of Specialty pharmacy products and associated technology assets.
• Assess software engineering practices, driving continuous improvement, improving operational efficiency, time to market and overall product quality.
• Lead engineering teams, guiding and mentoring them in implementing solutions across a wide range of technological platforms.
• People management including hiring, performance management, team building, coaching and setting measurable goals.
• Build relationships with Business, Product and Technology partners to support the delivery roadmap.
• Partner with vendors to build contingent teams onshore and offshore/nearshore.
• Engage with solution vendors to support our technological needs.
• Conduct technology research and innovation for long-term strategy based on healthcare trends.
• Up to 10% travel within the United States as needed.
