Job summary

CVS Health seeks a Senior Manager - Software Development Engineering to lead a cross-geography team delivering modernized software for Specialty Pharmacy. You will own design, delivery and quality across multiple releases each year.

You will partner with Strategy, Operations, Product and Technology to shape a multi-year roadmap, champion agile practices, and attract and grow top engineering talent. This full-time role includes travel within the United States and a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software development experience using Agile methods.
• 5+ years building microservices with Python and Java (Spring Boot).
• 3+ years leading distributed multi-site/remote engineering teams.
• 3+ years of experience with containerization (Kubernetes, Docker).
• 2+ years of cloud platforms (GCP preferred).
• 1+ years of experience with AI frameworks and generative AI web services.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of Specialty Pharmacy technology assets.
• Drive continuous improvement of software engineering practices.
• Mentor engineering teams across geographies and time zones.
• Partner with Business, Product and Tech teams to deliver roadmaps.
• Staff onshore and offshore/nearshore teams with vendors.
• Research and define long-term technology strategy in healthcare.
