Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Senior Manager - Software Development Engineering to lead a high-energy, diverse team focused on modernizing Specialty Pharmacy technology. You will drive multi-year roadmaps in collaboration with Strategy, Operations and Product to deliver scalable services across geographies.

The role requires hands-on leadership, design, development, testing and delivery of AI-enabled platforms and microservices, with up to 10% travel within the United States.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software development experience using Agile methodologies.
• 5+ years of microservices development with Python/Java (Spring Boot).
• 3+ years leading distributed multi-site/remote software teams.
• 3+ years containerization with Kubernetes and Docker.
• 2+ years cloud platforms (GCP preferred).
• 1+ years experience with Agentic AI frameworks and generative AI web services.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, framework and development of Specialty Pharmacy tech assets.
• Drive continuous improvement of software engineering practices and time-to-market.
• Mentor engineering teams across multiple platforms and geographies.
• Manage people: hiring, performance, career growth and coaching.
• Build strong partnerships with Business, Product and Tech to support roadmaps.
• Collaborate with onshore/offshore vendors to support staffing needs and innovation.
• Conduct tech research to develop a long-term healthcare technology strategy.
• Travel up to 10% within the United States as needed.
