Job summary

CVS Health Specialty Pharmacy Engineering is seeking a hands-on Senior Manager - Software Development Engineering to lead a diverse team across geographies and deliver a multi-year modernization roadmap. You will drive architecture, development and execution across Agile releases with accountability for value streams.

This role partners with Strategy, Operations and Product to plan, build, and deliver technology that advances our pharmacy and healthcare objectives.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of overall Software Development experience using Agile methodologies.
• 5+ years of development of microservices using Python, Java (Spring Boot).
• 3+ years leading high-performing distributed multi-site/remote software engineering teams.
• At least 3+ years of experience in containerization tools and technologies such as Kubernetes and Docker.
• At least 2+ years of experience with cloud platforms (GCP preferred).
• At least 1+ years of experience using AI frameworks and generative AI-based web services/tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, foundational framework and development of Specialty pharmacy products and related technology assets.
• Assess software engineering practices, drive continuous improvement and improve time to market and product quality.
• Lead engineering teams, mentoring them across multiple platforms and geographies.
• People management including hiring, performance management, and coaching for career growth.
• Build strong relationships with Business, Product and Technology partners to support the delivery roadmap.
• Travel up to 10% within the United States as needed.
