CVS Health is seeking a Senior Manager - Software Development Engineering to drive modernization and operational efficiency within the Specialty Pharmacy Engineering team. Qualifications
- 7+ years of software development experience with Agile methodologies.
- 5+ years building microservices using Python and Java Spring Boot.
- 3+ years leading distributed multi-site/remote software teams.
- ≥3 years of using containerization tools such as Kubernetes and Docker.
- ≥2 years experience with cloud platforms (GCP preferred).
- ≥1 year experience with Agentic AI frameworks and generative AI web services.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of Specialty Pharmacy technology assets and foundational framework.
- Assess software engineering practices; drive improvements in efficiency, time to market, and quality.
- Lead engineering teams across geographies; mentor and guide delivery of solutions.
- Oversee people management including hiring, performance, and career development.
- Build relationships with Business, Product and Technology partners to support the roadmap.
- Collaborate with vendors to staff onshore and offshore teams and explore external tech partnerships.
- Conduct technology research to define long-term AI/healthcare strategy.
- Travel up to 10% within the United States as needed.
