Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Senior Manager - Software Development Engineering to lead a diverse engineering organization focused on Specialty Pharmacy technology. You will partner with Strategy, Operations, and Product to plan and deliver a multi-year modernization roadmap, driving value through automation and scalable software releases across geographies.

You will mentor multi-site teams, advance Agile practices, and shape the technical strategy while delivering high-quality software assets

Qualifications

7+ years of software development with Agile methodologies.
5+ years building microservices using Python and Java (Spring Boot).
3+ years leading distributed remote software teams.
3+ years containerization with Kubernetes and Docker.
2+ years cloud platforms (GCP preferred).
1+ years experience with AI frameworks and generative AI web services.

Responsibilities

Lead design and development of Specialty Pharmacy tech assets.
Assess and improve software engineering practices for efficiency and quality.
Lead engineering teams across geographies and mentor engineers.
Manage people, performance, and career growth through coaching.
Build strong partnerships with Business, Product and Technology to support delivery roadmaps.
Coordinate with vendors for staffing onshore and offshore as needed.
Drive long-term technology strategy based on healthcare/tech trends.
Travel up to 10% within the United States as needed.
