Job summary
CVS Health Specialty Pharmacy Engineering is seeking a hands-on Senior Manager - Software Development Engineering to lead a diverse engineering team and drive modernization across multiyear roadmaps. You will partner with Strategy, Operations, and Product leaders to deliver scalable software in support of patient care and operational efficiency.
This role requires 7+ years in software development with Agile, strong microservices in Python and Java Spring Boot, and proven leadership of
Qualifications
- 7+ years of software development experience with Agile practices.
- 5+ years building microservices in Python and Java Spring Boot.
- 3+ years leading distributed multi-site remote teams.
- 3+ years containerization (Kubernetes, Docker).
- 2+ years cloud platforms (GCP preferred).
- 1+ year using AI frameworks and generative AI web services.
Responsibilities
- Lead design and development of Specialty Pharmacy technology assets.
- Assess engineering practices, improve efficiency, time-to-market, and quality.
- Lead engineering teams and mentor across diverse platforms.
- Handle people management: hiring, performance, and career growth.
- Collaborate with Business, Product, and Technology partners on the roadmap.
- Partner with vendors to staff onshore/offshore teams.
- Drive long-term technology strategy based on healthcare trends.
- Travel up to 10% within the United States as needed.
