Job summary

Akamai Technologies, Inc. is seeking an Engagement Manager II to own customer success, act as a trusted advisor, and drive outcomes using Akamai solutions.

You will lead strategic programs and collaborate across teams to move initiatives from concept to implementation. You will manage architecture, performance, and security projects for major retailers and industries, mentor teams, and partner with sales to expand services.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in a customer-facing role and an understanding of the consulting process to ensure customer success
• Bachelor's in CS, MIS, Engineering or its equivalent
• Experience managing and delivering large technical programs successfully
• Knowledge of DevOps, web performance, and core internet technologies such as DNS, TLS and HTTP
• Knowledge of information security fundamentals, threats and protections for data, applications and infrastructure
• Familiar with compute technologies and cloud-based systems architectures

Responsibilities

• Owning customer success and being the trusted advisor that helps customers achieve desired outcomes using Akamai solutions
• Performing research and assessments to identify trends and provide guidance influencing customer architecture and adoption decisions
• Architecting and managing web performance, cloud computing and security solutions
• Defining an account strategy, establishing relationships, and building a project pipeline
• Leading and mentoring a cross-functional team, fostering empowerment and collaboration
• Partnering with sales and pre-sales to expand the use of services and solutions
