Job summary

Akamai Technologies, Inc. seeks an Engagement Manager II to own customer success for leading brands in Commerce, Transportation and Manufacturing, guiding initiatives from concept to implementation.

You will lead a cross‑functional team, architect web performance, cloud computing and security solutions, and partner with sales to expand service adoption. The role requires 5 years of experience and a CS/Engineering degree, plus deep knowledge of DevOps and internet technologies.

Qualifications

• Have 5 years of experience and a Bachelor's in Computer Science, MIS, Engineering, or its equivalent.
• Demonstrate experience in a customer-facing role and an understanding of the consulting process to ensure customer success
• Have experience managing and delivering large technical programs successfully
• Be knowledgeable on Devops, web performance, and core internet technologies such as DNS, TLS, and HTTP
• Be knowledgeable on information security fundamentals, common threats and vulnerabilities, as well as the tools and methods used to protect data, applications, and infrastructure
• Be familiar with compute technologies and architecture principles with basic knowledge and skills to design, implement, and manage cloud-based systems
• Be a team player with an ability to work independently and as part of a remote team

Responsibilities

• Owning customer success and being the trusted advisor that helps customers achieve their outcomes using Akamai solutions.
• Performing research and conducting assessments to identify trends and provide guidance that influences customer architecture and adoption decisions
• Architecting and managing web performance, cloud computing and security solutions.
• Defining an account strategy, establishing key relationships, and building and maintaining a project pipeline.
• Leading and mentoring a cross functional team, cultivating a culture of empowerment, collaboration, and excellence.
• Partnering with sales and pre‑sales to help expand the use of services and solutions
