Job summary

Akamai Technologies, Inc. is seeking an Engagement Manager II to own customer success and act as a trusted advisor for major retailers, hotels, airlines, and manufacturers.

You will drive strategic programs, guide architecture decisions, and manage cross-functional teams to deliver outcomes. Responsibilities include defining account strategy, mentoring teams, and partnering with sales to expand service usage.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in a customer-facing role and understanding of the consulting process for customer success
• Bachelor's or equivalent in CS, MIS, Engineering or related field
• Experience delivering large technical programs
• Knowledge of DevOps, web performance, and core internet technologies (DNS, TLS, HTTP)
• Knowledge of information security fundamentals and threat landscape
• Familiarity with compute technologies and cloud-based architectures
• Team player with ability to work independently and in remote teams

Responsibilities

• Owning customer success and acting as trusted advisor to achieve outcomes using Akamai solutions
• Research and assess trends to guide customer architecture and adoption decisions
• Architect and manage web performance, cloud computing and security solutions
• Define account strategy, relationships, and project pipeline
• Lead and mentor cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration and excellence
• Partner with sales and pre-sales to expand services usage
