Job summary

Resource Innovations seeks an Energy Advisor (Energy Manager / Outreach Engineer) to lead strategic energy efficiency initiatives for commercial and industrial clients in Northern IL. You will blend technical acumen with consultative sales to move opportunities from identification to implementation.

You will build trusted relationships with facility leaders, engineers and executives, translating complex energy concepts into actionable plans and measurable savings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field or equivalent experience.
• Five or more years in energy efficiency consulting, technical sales, or related field.
• Strong understanding of industrial/commercial facilities and energy-saving tech.
• Experience supporting utility energy efficiency programs.
• Ability to influence customer decisions through consultative selling and relationships.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as senior strategic and technical advisor to commercial/industrial customers.
• Lead energy efficiency opportunities from identification to implementation.
• Develop Energy Management Action Plans for customers and track progress.
• Collaborate with engineers to develop solutions for complex systems.
• Manage customer relationships and act as liaison with utilities and program leadership.
• Maintain CRM records with accurate activity, forecasts and pipelines.
• Travel to customer sites up to ~50% as required.
• Perform other assigned responsibilities.
