Job summary

Resource Innovations is seeking an Energy Advisor to act as senior strategic and technical advisor for commercial and industrial clients in Northern IL. The role combines energy efficiency expertise with consultative selling to advance opportunities from planning through implementation.

You will develop energy management plans, influence decisions, and manage relationships with utility reps, engineers, and executives to deliver measurable energy savings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field.
• 5+ years in energy efficiency consulting, technical sales, or facility optimization.
• Strong understanding of industrial/commercial facilities and energy-saving tech.
• Experience supporting utility energy efficiency programs.
• Ability to influence decisions through consultative selling and relationship management.

Responsibilities

• Engage as strategic energy management partner for customers.
• Lead territory and account strategies to maximize participation and savings.
• Develop and manage Energy Management Action Plans per customer.
• Support opportunities from identification to project completion.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to address complex systems.
• Maintain CRM activity, pipelines, and project forecasts.
